Queen Charlotte House is 14,000sq.ft of offices and part of the Quay side development constructed in 1993,
The refurbishment of the reception area was deemed necessary in order to give a more modern feel to the building.
Gone were the wood panels with dated brass fittings.
Electrically we opted to install colour changing LED strips under reception and in pelmets. This can be co-ordinated with any prospective tenants' own colour graphics.
With a ceiling height of 5 meters it was necessary to fill the space with a feature. Vici pendant drops were fitted in a spiral. The main light being provided by compact fluorescent fittings at ceiling level.
Down lights being used under the lower ceiling to provide light and illuminate graphics on walls.
LED wall lights were then fitted to the perimeter columns to provide feature lighting.
The Vici Pendant is a contemporary and stylish fusion of etched borosilicate glass and steel combined with branded electronic control gear including dimming and integral emergency. A multitude of high output Compact Fluorescent light source variations provide an excellent diffusion of light through the etched glass. A 2m suspension wire and clutch enables quick and easy adjustment. The luminaire is ideally suited for specification in the superior Retail, Commercial and Architectural sectors.
LED tape was used to create colour. This is fitted with remote control allowing the user to simply dial a colour. This is achieved by a mix of red, green and blue LED lights. Single colour tape is also available in white, red, amber, green and blue.
The Nave LED up/down light incorporates the very highest design values to create an ultra contemporary LED wall lighting solution. It is available in 2 x 3w LED. This makes the Nave LED wall light ultra energy efficient.
